A recent spear-phishing scam targeting business leaders, mostly CEO's, tricking an estimated 2,000 executives to fall for a subpoena scam. The email appeared very real including the executives name, company's name and even correct phone numbers. Spam filters didn't pick up on this because it was distributed to such a small amount of people and its authenticity and after clicking on the link in the message a simple malicious software program was then installed on the victims system allow the intruder to compromise the system.
